Dollar Feeder field guide

About Dollar Feeder

Practical financial education for everyday households, veterans, and military families.

Dollar Feeder brings money guides, calculators, and worksheets together so readers can work through a decision with their own numbers. The site focuses on everyday budgeting and the practical financial questions that accompany military life and the transition to civilian life.

Meet the founder

Dollar Feeder was founded and is owned by A. Miller, who retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of faithful service.

The transition from military to civilian life brought new financial decisions, unfamiliar processes, and questions that were not always easy to anticipate. Finding clear, practical guidance often meant piecing together information from multiple sources—and discovering important resources only after learning which questions to ask.

That experience inspired Dollar Feeder: a place to find the straightforward explanations, practical tools, and quick references Miller wished had been easier to access. The goal is to help veterans, military families, and everyday households find a useful starting point, ask informed questions, and approach their next financial decision with greater confidence.
